Molti di noi, ad un certo punto della vita, sono stati così fortunati da incontrare quell’insegnante straordinario, quello di cui ti ricorderai per sempre, quello che ha fatto la differenza, che ha stimolato il tuo interesse verso la sua materia, che ha tirato fuori la tua voglia di imparare, che ha acceso qualcosa dentro di te, che è stato un catalizzatore per il resto dei tuoi anni di formazione, e in qualche modo ha influenzato, se non le tue scelte lavorative, quantomeno il tuo livello di ambizione.
Ma sapevi che un bravo insegnante fa molto più di questo? Un bravo insegnante aumenta la probabilità per uno studente di andare all’università e perseguire un livello di istruzione più alto, riduce al minimo l’assenteismo al lavoro e contribuisce ad ottenere guadagni significativamente più alti rispetto alla media.
É interessante notare che un buon insegnante di inglese incide in maniera più duratura e profonda sulla nostra vita rispetto ad un insegnante di matematica.
